This Abloy deadlatch is a double cylinder deadlatch ideal for doors where high security is required. With the Abloy 6mm keyway lock picking is impossible. Unlike other locks that can be picked or bumped open, this lock with its security keyway can not. The inside of the can have a double cylinder, this is for locking the inside of the lock so in the event of a break in, the door can not be opened from the inside, leaving the intruder the only exit  from the entry point. Therefore reducing the amount that can be stolen. Some times double cylinder is not needed and it is optional. Even if you have a double cylinder lock, you have the option to use it or not.
