This is a keyless push button lock and mortice lock.  You simply enter your code and push the lever down to open the lock. You can use the key below to deadlock the door, you will need a key to undo the deadlock, and then you can simply use the code to unlock the door

From the inside, there is a lever you turn to unlock the door. The inside of the lock is always free to exit. Unless deadlocked
