If you are looking to upgrade your mailbox locks or upgrade a cam lock to a more secure key, this lock is for you. Using the tubular key shape, also know as a GEM key, this lock offers more security than standard single or double sided keys.  It  is a much harder lock pick, even for a locksmith.  But the lock will not allow a screw driver access into the lock to force the lock open as common cam lock will. This tubular cam lock does not have a number printed on the lock, so you can not get a key cut from the number on the front, as normal cam lock do.

The lock body is 16mm, but you can install this lock in a mailbox with a 22mm lock because of the cam has a 5mm bend. You will have to cut or adjust the cam to suit a mailbox in most cases. The 16mm tubular cam lock is the most common for mailbox installs 90% its always a 16mm lock that was fitted, even in place of a 22mm lock. The cam is also longer then normal allowing for the cam to be bent to reduce length or increase length of the lock, depending on the bend that has been made on the cam. The keys can be duplicated at any good locksmith shop or key cutter.
