This is a spring for the Lockwood lever handle. The narrow style of handle often found on aluminum doors. This handle suits the Lockwood short backset mortice lock. If you have a handle and it will not return to the correct position and it has started to drop, check the spring located on the back of the handle. The front and back handles use the same spring. If you find the Lockwood handle has a broken spring, you can buy the spring and replace it to have your handle working again.
